Starting in February and lasting until just before the exam, I’m planning to place before my students at the end of class every Friday one or more of the P6-P8 LEQ/DBQ prompts appearing below, with each of these prompts to appear on Class Companion. Then, the following Monday as class starts, the plan is to briefly discuss whatever prompt(s) I assigned. As for whether I’ll go formative or summative, formative for now, but with a completion grade.

The prompts that I assign will include both “extent to which” prompts and “relative importance” prompts.

For those wondering, each of these 33 prompts has been run through AP Classroom with the “For Teacher Use Only” feature activated. All passed this test. That said if you see a prompt that looks much like a prompt you assign on one of your tests or one that you think looks uncomfortably close to an AP Classroom not-to-be-shared prompt, please DM me. I’ll either edit or take it down the prompt.
